Classes

A creative after school experience for students in grades 3 – 6 each school day. Students will explore a wide range of visual arts and artists. Busing and after school snack included.

Are you an aspiring writer? Do you have ideas for a story, but don’t know where to start? Do you have a written work you would like critiqued? Then this group is for you! All writers are welcome. Whether you’re interested in story-telling, writing essays, poetry, or other types of writing. Bring questions, suggestions, and ideas. Don’t forget your pen and paper!

Choose from our wide variety of PREFABRICATED ceramic items to create your unique masterpiece (finishing the piece with acrylic paint or food-safe shiny glazes).

Bill will be teaching the basics of hand-building clay in this two-day class. On the first day, you will learn basic pinch, coil, slab and hand-building skills. He will teach you projects to stimulate creativity in a playful way. The second class will be for you to glaze your creations. The fee covers both days and all your supplies. Guardians must stay with children (3 – 9 years old) throughout the class session.

In this class, we will walk you through multiple techniques in hand-building and how to turn ceramic slabs into fantastic wall hangings.

The local band of photo enthusiasts will be meeting the third Tuesday of each month 6:30 pm at the Hansen Arts Studio (or on photo hunts weather permitting). Topics are focused primarily for DSLR camera users. Beginners and experts alike are both welcome. This workshop is free.

Enjoy quality time creating art with your preschooler. This class is for kids ages 3+ and their parent or other adult.  Designed to engage young creatives and encourage general and fine motor skills.

Come any time. This is an open-door event. If you are looking for an opportunity to meet other artisans and crafters and work on your projects in a social setting, this is for you!
