UFF DA: The Folk Arts of Emily Lund
The Arts CenterAs both artist and author, Emily Lunde has recorded the life of Scandinavian immigrants settling the prairies and small towns of the Red River Valley during the early 20th century. Lunde did not begin to paint until the 1950s and always painted from memory. Her oils are widely collected.
Figure Drawing for Beginners

Writers Group
Are you an aspiring writer? Do you have ideas for a story, but don’t know where to start? Do you have a written work you would like critiqued? Then this group is for you! All writers are welcome. Whether you’re interested in story-telling, writing essays, poetry, or other types of writing. Bring questions, suggestions, and ideas. Don’t forget your pen and paper!
Friday Fun Night
Choose from our wide variety of PREFABRICATED ceramic items to create your unique masterpiece (finishing the piece with acrylic paint or food-safe shiny glazes).
CLAY DAYS
Bill will be teaching the basics of hand-building clay in this two-day class. On the first day, you will learn basic pinch, coil, slab and hand-building skills. He will teach you projects to stimulate creativity in a playful way. The second class will be for you to glaze your creations. The fee covers both days and all your supplies. Guardians must stay with children (3 – 9 years old) throughout the class session.
Ceramic Wall Hanging
In this class, we will walk you through multiple techniques in hand-building and how to turn ceramic slabs into fantastic wall hangings.
