How You Can Help.
The Jamestown Fine Arts Association, Inc. (JFAA, which operated The Arts Center) is a 501(c)3 organization. To the extent provided by law, gifts are tax deductible. Every gift to the Raising the Bar for the Arts Campaign is important and helps us reach our goal.
There are many ways you can give, including cash, pledges, life insurance, publicly traded securities (stocks), non-publicly traded securities (grain or livestock), real property, or through a required minimum distribution from an IRA.
Gifting appreciated securities, such as stocks or mutual funds directly to JFAA can help you diversify your portfolio and avoid capital gains and net investment income taxes. In addition, if you are over 70.5 years of age, you can gift directly from your IRA to JFAA which allows you to avoid claiming income from the IRA distribution. Qualified charitable distributions are nontaxable up to $100,000.
Talk to your investment or tax advisor about ways gifting to JFAA could be advantageous to your personal financial situation, while also benefiting the community.
You have an opportunity to support The Arts Center by making a gift and naming a number of spaces within the Arts Center campus.
