The Art Center is proud to announce the return of “Second Saturdays” a program designed for grades 1st through 5th. On the second Saturday of each month The Arts Center will offer a class built around a yearly theme. To kick off the program, we’ll be making projects inspired by a figure from art history. Seats are limited so be sure to sign up at least 24 hrs in advance!
Mach 8: Paint like VanGogh
10:30 – 12:00pm | Grades 1 – 5 | $10/$8 Member (per child)
In this fun, hands-on class, young artists will explore the colorful world of Vincent van Gogh! Children will learn about the famous impressionist’s bold brushstrokes and vibrant colors while creating their own masterpiece inspired by van Gogh’s iconic works. A great way to spark creativity and introduce little ones to the joy of art!
April 12: Found Object Mobiles
10:30 – 12:00pm | Grades 1 – 5 | $10/$8 Member (per child)
Join us at the arts center to explore the art of balance! Inspired by sculptor Alexander Calder, children will create their own mobiles using recycled materials. This hands-on project helps develop fine motor skills, creativity, and an appreciation for sculpture—all while having fun!

Get ready to make a mess and create a masterpiece! Inspired by artist Robert Rauschenberg, children will explore painting, printmaking, and collage to make their own unique artwork. A fun, hands-on way to experiment with different materials and techniques!
