SECOND SATURDAY
The Art Center is proud to announce the return of “Second Saturdays” a program designed for grades 1st through 5th. On the second Saturday of each month The Arts Center will offer a class built around a yearly theme. Second Saturday classes this fall will explore possible futures with projects inspired by Science Fiction. Seats are limited so be sure to sign up at least 24 hrs in advance!
September 12: Cinnamon “Spice” Rolls

“He who controls the Spice controls the universe.” Join us in making fresh cinnamon rolls with a “Dune” themed twist!
October 10: Planetary Landscape Prints

Capture a scenic extraterrestrial view through the art of printmaking! Imagine new landscapes and learn a thing or two about the art of relief printmaking.
November 14: Recycled Robots
10:30 – 12:00pm OR 1:00-2:30pm | Grades 1 – 5 | $15/$12 Member (per child)
Create the perfect interstellar companion! In this class, participants will assemble their own robot sculpture with discarded materials.
December 12: Martian Plant Life

Ever wondered what a garden might look like on another planet? In this multi-media sculpting class, students will be creating their own alien plant specimens inspired by the artist duo Chiaozza.
